Disneyland/Home at last

Hello to everyone!!! Sorry that there was no post after Disneylamnd, but we went straight to the hotel to pick up our luggage that we had left at the hotel, changed there, brushed our teeth, returned the rental car, and went to the airport. We traveled all night and ended up back at the Da;yton airport around noon today. I think the best sleep that we got was laying on the floor of the Dallas airport this morning around 7:30 am CST. As a matter of fact, I think we could have slept right through our boarding call but thankfully Kassie woke up and said, "We better wake up a or we're going to miss our plane!" No kidding, about 2 minutes later they began boarding people that needed assistance. So now, we've arrived home, we've all slept most of the day, and Sarah has come over with Kass, BeBe and I and we are watching "Flight Plan" What an excellent movie!!! Even though I'm only watching it with one eye open!!!!!!! So much thanks to everyone who visited us on the blog while we were in LA. It was so fun to get to share with you all and get to hear your responses back.

Hurray for Hollywood....

Well, we didn't get to Disneyland today. We are going to go tomorrow. But we did get to Hollywood, Rodeo Dr, Hard Rock and the like. Here are some pics of Hollywood. Look carefully at the square the girls are sitting by. You see not just hand and foot prints but also something else.

Got my nap today!

Well, a short one anyway! The girls are WORN OUT! Sarah, Mellissa, and Michelle are on the highest level teams and you can look at their leg muscles and see how tight they are. Kass and BeBe are daggone pooped and sore, too. Olivia and I went to the boardwalk for lunch so I've got a couple of great ocean shots for ya. We are going to skip the pizza party tonight and take the girls to watch the sun set on that ocean. Hopefully I can get some good pics, too!!!

Some Action Shots

It was quite hard to get good pics today.......I promise to try harder tomorrow. I'm so tired; I can't imagine how worn out the girls are. They are having a 12 hour day of on ice and off ice classes. Olivia and I went to the BEST seminar this morning about sports medicine and what the skaters need to be doing to prevent injury and make them stronger. It was so great and I can't wait to get home and pass the info on to other skate moms.

First Day of Conference

Well, the girls got up without any trouble this morning. I was feeling pretty good until I ate breakfast. Breakfast pretty much put me in a food coma. (oatmeal----carb coma to be exact) Olivia and I are going to a parents meeting about sports science this morning. Then, I'm gonna take a NAP!!! Later on, I will go over to the rink and try to get some "action shots" to post.

Somehow We Still Have Energy

It has been so much fun thus far. However, the pictures of Sarah carrying Michelle and then Kassie on her back is because of exhausted feet. Thankfully, Sarah is somehow still going. The girls got two AMAZING pins: one of the logo for this festival and the other is the 2006 USFSA team. It's now 9:17 EST and we still have a meeting!!!

California Girls

"I wish they all could be California girls........" Yes, we have finally arrived. It's been a VERY long day and is not over yet!!! By the time we get to bed, we will have been up for 22 hours. I am posting some pics....at the airport and then at the hot tub once we got down here. Things we prayed for this morning.......1. that there would be a starbucks at the St. Louis airport........saw it the instant we got off the plane. 2. that the skate bags would all arrive and none would get lost!!! .....................we have all the skate bags 3. that they would let us check in our room like at 10:30 CA time..........we got our room as soon as we got here!!!! Tell Jodi Massey she ain't the only one who gets prayer answered!!!! just kidding. enjoy the pictures.......... By the way, for those of you wondering where Mellissa is in the hot tub, well....she was in the room watching Des. Housewives on her iPod. Michelle and Olivia had gone to get some lunch.

It's REALLY here!!!

Well, so much for getting to bed early tonight. I tried, I really did. But as you can see from the photo, we are still not quite ready. Up at 3:50 am: going to try to carry skates on.....pray that we are successful as we only have 45 minutes between landing in St. Louis and taking off to Los Angeles. Who can sleep at a time like this?

Almost 1:00 in the morning and I can't seem to settle myself enough to sleep. Don't have anything packed yet, didn't get shopping done today. So, I guess that leaves tomorrow!!!!!!
I think tomorrow night I will have to take an ambien around 7 to ensure I fall asleep at all!!!

Countdown

The countdown is on. We have to finish shopping/packing today. Bianca is going to come home after skating in Troy tomorrow and spend the night. We are all so excited. Pray for safe travels! We'll post some "getting ready" pictures tonight or tomorrow.
